1. Junior Staff Writer

Jing Culture & Commerce is looking for a Junior Staff Writer to write and create B2B content on emerging trends and technologies within the museum and cultural space for industry professionals. The role requires someone who is passionate about the arts, culture, travel, and creative technologies, with a deep understanding of the global museum landscape. Excellent writing skills and a robust work ethic are musts. The successful candidate will work closely with the Jing Culture & Commerce editorial team to produce stories on a daily basis and assist in marketing efforts wherever needed.

What you’ll do

  • Write and produce two to three B2B stories every week on key movements in the cultural and travel sectors — from strategic collaborations to culture-tech innovations 
  • Identify and pitch at least four stories every week
  • Assist in uploading stories, including image-sourcing, formatting, and SEO
  • Assist in crafting weekly newsletters 
  • Assist in JCC’s marketing and social media efforts
  • Provide research and fact-checking assistance to editors and writers 

Who you are

  • A strong writer with some web-based writing experience, able to swiftly turn out a story
  • A deep or proven interest in the arts, culture, creative technologies, and travel
  • Solid news judgement and grasp of audience analytics 
  • Knowledge of Western and Chinese social media landscape
  • Knowledge of WordPress and SEO
  • Possessing strong organizational and follow-up skills, and attention to detail
  • Possessing a positive, can-do attitude, and strong work ethic
  • Experience with graphic design a plus

2. Marketing Intern

Jing Culture & Commerce is looking for a Marketing Intern to assist in various branding and marketing initiatives. This position is ideal for a student or recent graduate with a passion for the arts, culture, and creative technologies, and an understanding of the museum landscape. A background in marketing and communications is preferred. The successful candidate will work closely with the Jing Culture & Commerce team in our editorial and marketing efforts.

What you’ll do

  • Research, collect and report on current industry trends and happenings
  • Brainstorm and execute editorial and marketing initiatives to further expand our audience base
  • Oversee our weekly newsletter campaigns as well as performance reporting
  • Assist in the creation of banners, infographics, illustrations for marketing needs

Who you are

  • Experience planning and running email campaigns on MailChimp; template customization in HTML, CSS
  • Experience with WordPress or the equivalent
  • Knowledge of search engine page rankings; experience using tools such as Google Search Console, Yoast SEO
  • Graphic design experience is a plus
  • Social media experience is a plus
  • Interested in art, culture, and creative technologies
  • Strong organizational and follow up skills, attention to detail
  • Available now with a minimum commitment of 30 hours a week for a duration of three months

3. Design Intern

Jing Culture & Commerce is seeking a highly talented and creative Design Intern to assist with our visual growth. The design intern will work with the editorial team to design editorial layout, establish a consistent visual identity, and create visual elements accompanying high-quality, B2B content on culture and technology. Other tasks include supporting the editorial team in photo-editing, illustration, and executing Jing Culture & Commerce graphics standards across different platforms. 

An ideal candidate must have a keen eye for detail as well as a vision for consistent design throughout different platforms, for both digital and print. 

What you’ll do

  • Assist the editorial team in creating graphic elements, illustrations, photo editing, and image sourcing
  • Create illustrations and infographics to lead daily articles
  • Maintain a consistent visual language for Jing Culture & Commerce
  • Create visual content for Jing social media platforms
  • Develop design layouts for email newsletters, articles, and internal and external documents and presentations
  • Manage visual assets 

Who you are

  • Experience in both graphic and web design
  • Creative, with an eye for impactful images and visuals
  • Ability to visualize data, translating it into useful and striking infographics
  • Deep familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, MailChimp, and WordPress

4. Product Manager

Jing Group is looking for a Product Manager to help significantly expand Jing’s reach, influence and capabilities as we launch our own publishing platform and various digital subscription products across our current and upcoming brands.

Your chief directive will be to inherit, augment, and grow the vision, value proposition, and customer base of our content and service products. This would include enhancing, validating, and invalidating some portion of the initial hypotheses, projected TAM, and product features originally proposed by leadership.

You will work with cross functional leadership to understand their needs, values, and goals, translating that into robust digital content subscription products. Technical product management experience is highly preferred. The role would start as a contract role with the sincere intention of employing full time with valuable incentives if the right fit is found. Ideally, this candidate can bring in years of learning, best practices, and wisdom from working prior with a blue chip digital publisher.

Required Knowledge / Qualifications:

  • A product manager at an established publishing company
  • Deep experience with building, launching and maintaining content management systems
  • Deep experience with marketing, monetizing and advancing content subscription products
  • Manage and customize software development processes
  • Ability to present a defined perspective / opinion based on competitive research and landscape
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in web production / product management
  • Proven success in developing, testing and deploying multiple web sites with the ability to execute quick iterations to test theories and designs, using experience, analytics, and data for decision-making
  • Strong relationship management skills with exemplary communication and presentation skills (persuasive written, compelling oral)
  • Deep familiarity about digital marketing concepts, practices and programs with a strong understanding of email, social, and web marketing
  • Demonstrated success in project management with an aptitude to effectively prioritize and complete multiple tasks
  • Solid knowledge in HTML and familiarity with CSS
  • SEO, SEM, Google Tag Manager, Analytics, and Optimize knowledge
  • Extensive experience managing complex projects and teams
  • Highly motivated, consensus builder, collaborates well in a team
